After a weekend of frenetic art hanging activity, the I Am Collective welcomed over 40 visitors to their launch evening, last week at the Green Man Gallery in Buxton.
The guests, made up of fellow students, proud parents, supporters of the Green Man Gallery and art lovers, not only admired the work of the 7, inaugural evening, students, but were invited to take part themselves in interactive art displays.
Whilst visitors immersed themselves in the two full rooms of art, they were entertained with music and song from two of the collective’s members. Later, as the party moved downstairs to the entrance gallery hall, so the music changed with some impromptu jazz, performed on the piano and a double bass.
The exhibition runs until the end of the October half-term week.
